Here is the schedule for tomorrow and Sunday :

I only watched 3 matches ......... so the ticks are the winners while the crosses are the losers of the 3 matches :

So Chen Xue and Zhang Xi still have a chance into the Semis if they can win their match at 1pm tomorrow :

Sorry... just for some clarifications...

Firstly... the terms n conditions as stated is meant for the Gatecrash company... which happens to be one of the places where u can get ur tickets... so my question is... does this same terms n conditions actually applied to the event itself.

As I have got my tickets from a Swatch outlet... no terms n conditions is mentioned to me during the purchase... n at the same time... if u have ur tickets with u rite now... u may notice that theres no terms n conditions mentioned too on the ticket itself.

Just checked the official website for this event... again... cant find anything mentioning that no photography is allowed in the event. (Maybe I may have overlook it... u guys may wanna double confirm it by checking it too.)

Thus, from my own view... I believe I have every reason to argue back should I was forced to delete watever pics that may be taken in the event using a dslr. But then again... is there anything we can back ourselves up should the organiser insisted their ground?

Wat u guys think? :dunno:

Hmm... then again... theres no rule saying that DSLR is not allowed in the event.
Thus, the organisers have no ground to stop us from using DSLR to shoot in the event... nor forcing us to delete any pics tat may be taken during the event.

Am I rite to say tat? :dunno:

clockunder... seems like prosumers with 10x-7x optical zooms are fine with the pple there yah? i thinking of bringing my frens 10x optical zoom PnS there to take the pics... no one stopped you with the nikon 5700? i guess no big lens then no big hassle... oh well... see how lah tmr...

Err guys... i went there this afternoon. Sat thru the 2 matches (BRA vs CHN). Shoot using my D70s. There are a few photographers ard also using DSLR and they r not official photographers. I dun think they ban photography with DSLR but just dun use flash. I hope that this will clarify all. :)

I also don't know.

It's actually up to the event organiser to define the terms and conditions. However, they must be clearly and prominently stated so that people are aware of them before they decide to buy the tickets.

As can be seen from the pictures posted earlier, there weren't many spectators around but I wasn't stopped in anyway from taking the photos. I also didn't see any officials stopping any of the DSLR users (at least about 10 scattered around) in the spectators stands.

I will be there on Saturday morning... n will be using my D70s then. :sticktong

Should anyone trying to stop me or ask me to delete my pics... I think I will have to ask them to show me the black n white stating that DSLR is not allowed in the event. If they cant produce it... then they have no rights to do so and I will continue my shoot. :bsmilie:

I mean... if theres really such terms n conditions... we, the paying audiences, should have been informed earlier even before this event starts. They cant simply state such terms n conditions without making us aware of it from their tickets, official websites n other forms of event promotion means in advance. :thumbsd:

Just my views lah. Heehee...

Better sleep earlier.

If not, tomorrow morning ..........

Actually, the background is better if shoot from higher seats. (Today, I shot from the front row seat and the ball tends to merge with the colourful spectators in the backround). But then, the lower part of the frame is likely to be blocked by many heads if you shoot from far behind seats and, as expected, there are many spectators tomorrow.

From what I observe (as can be seen from the venue picture posted by me earlier in this thread), some seats in the East side are really bad for watching (let alone shooting) while those seats behind in the gallery are bad for shooting as higher part is blocked by advertisement board near the top of the structure in front.

Better arrive earlier tomorrow morning to get a good shooting seat. :sweatsm:

Are tickets available at Sentosa itself?

Please tell us if DSLR can be use .I will be going on sunday.Thanks..

Me also one to know can bring DSLR and is the VIP seat good to take photos.

just got back from today's semis... DSLRs are allowed... saw some REALLY big guns in the gallery as well as east-west and VIP stands... 300 F2.8 etc etc... hehe...

As for VIP stands... i would say that the VIP area definitely gets you close to eye level of the players... too bad, someone beat me to the best (front row) seats in the VIP area this morning... but it was still quite spacious to say the least... esp the east-west galleries as today was scorching hot in the morning till 2pm... so both the DSLRs and the pple were getting baked/BBQed literally...

There will only be 2 matches tomo... Bronze and Gold medal games... both are china vs brazil... so should be very very exciting to watch... but it's just 2 games... so those thinking of going do take note... and the games start at 3pm... hope that helps...
