Ai yah... why you get so work up over other people's job? Let the politicians worry about that and we continue to take our photos.

One of the "reasons" broought up was to protect the environment from damage...

If there is someone that is damaging the environment of SEA, no prize for guessing who it is......

amen to that.

such a ban is a double edged sword. its bad for us & those working in d related industry in their homeland. its not within our capablility 2 do much anyway...

lucky our reserves still can hold on. but for how long? really hope singapore can find another source. somewhat, i dun like it even if they remove the ban. if there's another place selling it at the same price, i rather get from that source. ASEAN is unstable these days :/

It is a political move and it also involved money. Increase my asset and also increase income... next tell people that we have no problem at home(change focus) and that the more critical issue is from beyond... ha ha ha!

We just have to go further away to get those material - from Vietnam, Cambodia and Philippines. And at a higher cost.

Remember we used to get it from Malaysia and then, Indonesia.

Environmental impact? Well, we are just a little red dot - how much sand and granite can we take to create an impact on their environment. Even if we take so much as to double our size, we would only make a small dent in their mountain and rivers......

Not to mention the forest fire pollution that keep coming our way year after year. I had the chance to see the smoke coming from its source from an airplane over Indonesia, and it ain't a pretty sight.

The top Indon generals are also contemplating of stopping the supply of air polution to SEA.

They want to build a giant plastic dome over Indonesia to trap the polution within their own country. :)
