Haha very funny!! :bsmilie:

Ya lor, when I heard the news abt our MBT purchase, I was thinking if Mr brown will make a podcast about that with the " zhng" my car series as the guideline :bsmilie:

I knew I'm not that confused. Its in wikipedia, 79 Leopard 1 AS1 with 105mm rifled gun to be replaced by 59 M1. The first one arrived in Sep 2006.

Sorry, just get to read the thread.
So long liao.

I misunderstood your earlier message.
I thought/misunderstood that you mean the Australians replace Germans Lepoard 2 with American M1.

Now I see, you mean Lepoard 1.

just saw this thread.. *whistles* you mean sg just bought this large tank? *whistles* :bsmilie:

*whistles* we've had large tanks longer than you think.. :D

I don't think they have any Leo2 to begin with. :D

:bsmilie: Ha ha ha ha ha......:bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Sorry i can't help but laugh as i read all the posting on all the excitment that the 2A4 has generated here and also the memories of the many senoirs here as they share their days of travelling down S.Gedong track...

Having been in the force for some 12 years( 4 with armour, 1 with infantry, 4 with Guards and 3 with Maintenance), Reading all these posting brings back fond memories and tears...

Anyway, I'm altum_lover76 here.

would like to get to know more like minded people here and also learn how to take photos for my collection of armour models.

Cheers!!:)

hey came over here too huh :) what armour models do you have? I have always wanted to make an accurate replica of the combat engineer M113 that I used to use. You got any file photos of that vehicle?

Just heard a rumour from a friend that the paladins are the first to go the Germany for training :)

the australians traded they leopards for M1 right?
Bigger doesn't mean better. Buying Abrahams doesn't mean we're gonna win every single war.

There are so many things to look at, from expected terrain one would be training/fighting on, to the type of weapon that's most cost-effective with a high kill ratio.

Take a geese hunter, he can certainly buy a GPMG to shoot down a single goose it would achieve his aim. But why does he needs to waste so many 30 cents when all it takes is just a good aim and a single shot with a double barrelled shotgun?

Yes Hwchoy, I've just joined the gang here.

Well, photos have a few but these are models status WIP. mostly vietnam, isareal M113. Got a few OIF M113 and M1A2, M1HA, M1A1 and M1 panther. Plus a couple of LAV 25. Not very well dones though. Nothing to shout about.

Cheers!!

Here are the photos.

P.s:Ehhh... i don't see the attachements icon... can anyone help?

I mean since you were in the force for a few years do you have any photos of the Engineer M113s because of the custom attachments and brackets. I can only recall from memory but I have already stood down since last centurty. :D

I should think so. The amount of stores that we have inside the M113 prevented us from upgrading them to Ultra standards, so as of 1998 they were still using them. Does the BX have more room inside than the standard M113 models?

Unlikely that they will appear in open house since usually the AI vehicles gets sent. There are not many engineer M113s around and they have interesting mounting brackets for the barb wires and iron pickets etc.

They carry number plates beginning with 66xx but not sure what it is now with 5 digit plates.

Bro Hwchoy,

No promise, But i will go thru my files and technical drawings. Yes all variant of BX is much larger than the M1113. But in my opinoin, the BX is just the Bradley in disguise.

My two cents worth.
:)

realli? an anorexic bradley maybi.
In my opinion, BX is extremely easy to drive. anyone can drift a BX!

Agree that the BX is extremely to drive. YOu only need a civilian class 3 equivliant to pilot the machine.

Also, if you are to look at it carefully, the road wheel set together with the sprockets and tacks are Bradley similar, Get what i mean?

also, the waepon system, BUshmaster 25mm(m242)canon, which has been upgraded to 30 mm is also from the bradley.

Check it out man!!

By the way, i'm cross trained on only A and B platforms, specialising mainly on B platforms.

Cheers!!
