I am really sick of some of the attitude of some folks here who like to bicker over everything including punctuation. Comments are mostly negative criticisims and silly remarks.

I come to CS less and less these days because of the pervasive attitude of some of the regulars... anyway... good luck CS.

I read thru the link you provided and have to agree with you, I think it started to degrade with someone trying to increase his post count by just giving one liner or adding emoticons and not contributing but making fun of others and flaming only, really bad attitude.

Maybe it is their way to vent stress or something but it is no fun to see/read such threads. I tend not to read this type of threads and go for the ones that are fun to read, those that make me laugh and feel good all around type and the tech, knowledge sharing types of thread and of course the B&S threads.

That's the good part about the forum, we can pick and choose what to read and take part in.

But honestly, there are more and more of these bickerings going on. ;(

hasnt CS always have its fair share of bickers and arguements? it just seems that there's a sudden rise in the frequency lately.. there's no way we can attribute it to one thing.. such as a school holiday.. it can be other things as well.. stress at work? never tio 4D/toto? lost money in soccer? never get promotion or bonus after appraisal? kid down with chickenpox so have to stay home look after kid n cant go work then became bored n started finding problems?

unlimited possibilities. im not asking to be flamed by the above examples but just to illustrate some probable examples.. ;p

I think there's a difference between being vibrant and being rude. Many threads in CS just end up being the latter. Anyway, my take is that these "offenders" seem to feed off each other. It's like when someone posts something rude and nothing happens to him so others will be like "Hey, he can get away with that, could I get away with more?" and the vicious cycle begins.

For example, there are a few people I can think of, including the most famous one that had to be banned a few times but like a virus kept coming back. The thing is why did it take so long to ban him in the first place?
