Your views on the best lens combo for crop sensor.

As per title, which lens combo suits best in terms for wide angle to telephoto shots

want us to tell you what to buy? :bsmilie:

1) EF-S 10-22 + EF-S 17-55 + EF 70-200L
2) EF-S 10-22 + EF-S 17-55 + EF 70-300L
3) EF-S 10-22 + EF 24-70L + EF 70-200L
4) EF-S 10-22 + EF 24-70L + EF 70-300L
5) EF-S 10-22 + EF 24-105L + EF 100-400L
6) Sigma 12-24 + EF 24-70L + EF 70-200L
7) Sigma 12-24 + EF 24-70L + EF 70-300L
8) Sigma 12-24 + EF 24-105L + EF 100-400L

Technically there is no "best combo" so to speak. The best combo will depend on you. Which focal ranges u use the most, if you require tele/WA/normal lens, zoom or prime, fast lenses or super zoom lenses etc. i suggest you google about all these first, check out your options, then decide :)

Suits who best? You? Me? Your brother? Sister? Mother? Father?
Under what conditions?
lol.. :)

Personal preference: 15-85, 17-55 and 70-200

i tell you what i use la, you go and judge.

10-22
17-55
70-200L f4 IS
50/f1.8(which never see action at all)

Well I use my tokina 11-16 and Nikkor 70-200 which I upgraded from the sigma one :p

No point asking people what they use...what they use may not be what you want/like to use...

anyway..
- 10-22
- 17-50
- 55-250 (May go for 70-200 f4L IS)
- 50 f1.8 (Seeing more action after owning it for ~8 months and keeping it in the dry cabi)

If I have to choose again,
- 10-22
- 18-200
- 30 f1.4

Im currently on 7D with 10-22 and 24-70.

Originally, i got my 24-70 first with body. Then I was struggling with getting 10-22 or 70-200 f4. After reflecting my shooting habit (simply look through my photos and check my focal length). I found out that I prompt to shoot more of a wider angle and sometimes I think that 24mm on crop is not enough for my shooting habit. Therefore, I choose 10-22.

Long story short, I think its best to know what's your shooting stlye and your habit before getting a combo. Who knows if it is just a want but not a need.

Different people have different preferrence, you won't get the answer here, instead you will be slammed.
I am happy with my 17-55 + 70-200 combo, as I don't do much on UWA.

Too common recommendation, holy tri....

i recommend this....

8-15mm fish eye, give u fantastic creativity in composition...

24mm, apsc view of a traditional 35mm, which many pro love....

50mm, a fantastic lens to use for portrait, together with 85mm.... limitless portraits combo at f1.2 & 1.4.....

Add in a 135mm for yr tele need.... n it is the best combo..... not many people recommend this way, but i know u know it is a great combo....

so stop reading and go get it...
