Selling my Leica 50 mm Summicron DR. Seldom use and always stored in dry cabinet. The DR was the premium range Leica in the 1950s to 1960s. The DR enable lens can focus to 0.7m closest distance instead of 1m which is typical of other Leica 50mm. This lens is in great condition externally, focus smoothly and aperture ring move smoothly. As in Leica lenses in that era, the glass elements is soft and is easily scratch when u clean them. The lubricant use is always causes haze, especially if you do not use them like this lens. A cleaning is recommended although it is perfectly usable in this condition. See photos of internal under extreme bright light. Nothing to hide here and also photos taken with this lens at widest aperture of f2.0 as well as f8, and a photo at closest distance at f2.0. No obligation viewing at Marine Terrace.
