Canon 400D body + kit lens EFS 18-55mm

Currently facing a flash problem but too lazy to get it to harbourfront for fixing hence letting go cheap.

Built-In flash's auto pop-up is obstructed

Need to clear the air, the flash is actually still working just that clicking the flash button or at auto-flash mode, the flash shutter will not come up and the error will appear.
I tried to life the flash shutter up manually and the flash was still flashing well.
