Could be a bid padding, or then again could be an ignorant buyer. The auction had a $100 starting bid... my goodness.

Happens once in a while on ebay. Some people just don't do their research before bidding. You can easily pick one up from keh.com for much less than that...

Anyway, the D70 kit lens 18-70mm AFS also selling like hot cakes on ebay since it's not available in US yet.

My brother once attended an auction in Singapore run by SIA a few years ago for lost items not claimed (he used to work there) and the bid prices were crazy. Quite a few cameras went for MORE THAN THE PRICE of new ones. I could not believe it. Lesson - only participate in auctions when you know your stuff.
