It is even cheaper than offcamera shoe cord. And should be more convient.

Save up your money and get the Elinchrom Skyports instead. It is worth your money in the long run.

I have tried this wireless trigger borrowed from a friend. It's really just a trigger to make the flash go 'plop', nothing more. All the things about E-TTL and automatic adjustments are gone. If you can live with it than it's the right thing and a cheap starting point into off-shoe flash.
If you need E-TTL and full communication between flash and camera then you better get the cord or the Skyports. There are dome DIY instructions in Internet about how to extend the off-show cord by inserting cable (Cat5 or better) and 6-pin plugs. If you are familiar with soldering iron it shouldn't be an issue, you can achieve a distance of 10m and more (depending on the type of the cable you are using).
