I need your advice on my macro lighting setup. Currently, I have a Tamron 180mm, Manrotto Tripod, 488RC2 ball head and 1 sb600 flash which I use for shooting butterflies. I'm really not familiar w/ ball heads and plates type and I want to try shooting other insects.
I wanted to get a Wimberley F-2 Macro Bracket so that I would have flexibility to reposition my flash. I know there are alternatives for Wimberley F-2 Macro Bracket like Kirk but knowing myself I will end up buying it in the near future if not satisfied.

Do I need another tripod ball head? If yes, can anyone recommend a cheap and good alternative head which I can get locally?
