huh. im experimenting with this and wondering if it's useful. how do i even use it? anyone has links?

nope. not at all. I have a friend who used it on his kit lens. Photos taken with the converter is soft. The distortion is also unacceptable. He likes the circular vignette when lens is at 18mm, however, i find it kind of cheesy and it's just way too soft.
Trash bin, or maybe it makes a good paper weight.
Seriously, these crappy pieces of cheap glass and plastic are worth nothing, cost maximum 50 bucks and are sold for 150 to 500 bucks to unknowing customers. If you like the distorted results for some funky snaps that just screw it on your kit lens (usually 58mm filter thread) and snap away. Otherwise .. screw it.
