Wide angle photo canvas

I sometimes shoot my photos at wide-angle (i use a prosumer btw, so it's all pre-set)
if im not wrong it's 16:9, unlike the normal 4:3 shot.

i usually add a black canvas at the top and btm of such picture (height),
giving it a "movie" feel, where like u watch in those cinemas and there are black spaces on the top n btm.

but i have problem printing them onto my 6X4 inch photo paper.
any suggestions wad height of the canvas i should put?

just create a 4"x6" doc, drag your image file over, and resize the image (without changing the image ratio) to fit into the 4"x6" will do.
