Why is there a white circle?

This was taken with my Canon A80. I experienced this white circle thingy more than twice... anyone got any scientific explanation? *Pun intended, dun wan supernatural explanations...

large white circle = dust particle floating in front of your lens which was illuminated by your camera's flash when u took the pic.

small white circle = light reflection off a sequin from the dancer's costume.
