Why do you prefer Mid Zoom Lens(e.g. 28-70/80/85/105/135mm, 35-70mm etc) ?

My 35-70mm f/2.8D is the ideal all-purpose lens to take when I travel light... i.e. one body with one lens.

I find my 32-96mm f2.8 built-in lens (on a Oly C4000Z) very handy for most shooting conditions.

Versatality and range. Good for casual moving around and shooting

My next lens to be my standard lens is going to be the Nikkor 24-85 F3.5-4.5 AFS. This is versatile enough for buildings that require wide angles. At 24, it is wide enough for most purposes. At the other end, 85 is long enough for portraits. This gives me coverage for something like 85% of my shots. Great for travel with only 1 lens.
