It worked fine the last time.. I am using manual mode, i set the apeture to F8, shutter to 1/1000... i switched on flash. When i pressed the shutter halfway, the shutter speed went back to 1/250..

How do i overcome this problem?

It's written in the manual :)

I loaned the camera from my school. It doesnt have a manual.

You can find the info in the review by www.dpreview.com

u try ISO 400 and try point your camera at the sun, den u can get 1/1000 :D

helo,

My guess is because of the flash sync speed?

Any way.. if really need flash, 1/1000 1/250 shouldn't make much of a difference ( assuming ure in place with poor ambient light), as the duration of flash is probably ard 1/1000 thereabouts...

No way you can overcome this problem. The x-sync speed on the G1 is 1/250.

dunno upgrade firmware can help ...

I would thought it's more of a physical limitation then a software limitation? 1/250 is infact very fast for a FP shutter.
