White balloon as flash diffuser?

Well, its cheap, very portable, roundish, probably need some tape to attach onto the flash. Anyone tried it before?

If you are a professional, it will be a bit difficult to charge professional fee. Hehe.... Also, won't the flash get hot and melt/burst the balloon?

I reckon it will look quite fugly though. LOL. I would suggest getting after-market stuff, like after market sto-fen or gary fong which really doesn't cost much - less than $20? Proven to work well, durable, no further try-and-error needed.... and at least won't make your setup looking fugly.
