I prefer the French & Saunders one.. damn funny!

Personally prefer the first episode, the pace, mood is just nice.

For me, I prefer the 1st episodes sweeping landscapes and scenery, and the 2nd's action (especially the battle scene and the tree scenes). Find the 1st a bit draggy and slow. ;p

My only main gripe with the 2 episodes so far... Gandalf's abilities as a wizard/mage hasn't exactly been "show-cased" yet...

Hmm... somehow that is just so un-fantasy-ish. I don't know why.... Works well on sci-fi but on Fantasy........ I think he'd lose his immediate fan base... except those out to oogle Legolas.. and I don't think he meant for THAT to happen

The Two Towers is a HUGE disappointment for me. Don't think Arwen's appearance is necessary at all.

Much prefer Fellowship of The Rings...

Saruman = Anakin/Darth Vader: defector
Gandalf = Obi Wanna Kenobi: die n wun stay dead
Frodo = luke skywalker : whiney youth

I've read before that LOTR is the original High Fantasy, meaning that it's not fairy tale and is "formally" fantasy, ie got realism type.. and the star wars trilogy is based on some LOTR and some jap thingy...
