Seen someone do so with lee filter, never ask him the detail as I dun play ts lens

Yes you can't mount screw in filters.

Cannot.
I am not even sure if the DIY ones with larger Lee filters work at extreme shifts.
Even if possible , you need a way to block light from the rear of the camera to prevent reflection onto the filter.
If I need the extra dynamic range, I usually end up with 2 exposures, and digitally do a graduated vertical blending as if using a GND.

Most lenses should come with UA.

Lens like 70-200 mk2 and 70-300L doesnt come with any code.
 

The new 24-70 ii also have no code.
