Hi ... I know this may sound silly ... :bsmilie:

To cut the long story short, many portable umbrella for many years has finally 'retired' ... so I'm looking for those quality 'foldable' type which I can simply drop into my bag, not those full length ones ...

TIA! ;)

i think esprit have them, used to see compact and nice type there.
Not sure if they still selling.

Can try Chinatown Point. There's an umbrella shop in the mid floor that sells a wide range of brollies...not sure whether shop still there or not.

Anyway, I bought a "Leighton" there in 1994 and still carry it to work everyday till now.

OG if you want those auntie kind of umbrella.:)

HDB sub-urb stores

I'm also looking for an umbrella. A white umbrella to be precise. Are there any specialist umbrella shop in the centre or the west? So far I've only seen white umbrella from Hang Ten shop.

Why white? That way I can still take potraits even if it is raining, and can be quite useful in diffusing light during sunny noon time.

If you have friends in UK and willing to pay. Get the FUTON black umbrella... Super light weight and fold into a very compact size. I have 2. Costs is about 15-20pounds so depends on whether you willing to spend.

Try Taka on ground floor. They got a good selection of compact and super light umbrellas but many seem catered for females. Check them out. Expect to pay at least $30 plus for the light ones.
