where is the best place to go for drinks - alcoholic drinks - especially if you are going alone?


i've just resumed (or started) work this week and i am dying... i need alcohol to numb the pain during the weekends.

but it's so difficult to find like-minded friends to go.

hence, i need to find out where is a good friendly place for singles like me.

any suggestions?

If you are into wine and drive (though the 2 don't mix)... try Wine Company at Dempsey Rd. I used to chill out there alone. Very serene and quiet.

I also like Balaclava and Muddy Murpheys. And if you dont have a budget then go to Blu at Shang for champagne!

If I was back in Singapore I'd join you.

Best place for me is Zouk Winebar, everyday 2 for 1 drinks with either UOB Mini card or Manhatten card. Good value. If you don't have either, happy hour is until 10pm. Try to avoid Friday nights because it's Law and Media industry night, very very packed.
