Whats the diff. between a zoom lens and telephoto lens?

A zoom lens is any lens that can change focal length by pushing/pulling a barrel or turning a ring.

A telephoto lens is any lens with a focal length of > 50mm. Though Zoom lenses can be telephoto, the term usually implies a lens > 50mm of fixed focal length. E.g. 200mm vs a "variable focal length" ie.. zoom e.g. 80-200mm.
