Spent 1/4 of the $$$$ going to some far off Countries for some really really serious scuba/photo trip..... then make a loooong stop at Thailand for some 'manly R&R'....... :bsmilie:

Keeping 1/2 of it at HOME (damn BANKs is closing down without warning)

Take the last 1/4 ($250K), divide by 20 years, divide again by months...... and I'll have extra $1.04K a mth, no including my pay, as extra spending money..... :bsmilie:

Aahhh..... "A Thousand Things Prepared, Only Missing The Eastern Winds"......

Put in the bank and earn more money.
Next day bank declare bankrupt and you are back to square one.

Honestly speaking, SGD 1 Million cant do much. Cant even buy a landed property here. 1st thing to do is to leave Singapore and find a cheaper place to live. I will use the $$ to fulfill my dream.. travel the whole world to shoot.

Well 1 Million$

I think this will be my first step towards my Financial freedom.

I will simply re-invest most of it ..

25 % may be in government bonds
25 % in Equities
20 % in Commodities like gold wine etc
15 % buy a 2nd hand house and rent it out or buy some land
15 % keep cash in hand for any new investment opportunity ..

the breakup can be anything buy yes bulk of it will be re-invested ..

hey did u get any lottery recently ?

Most probably keep to earn interest. At just 1% per annum means $833 monthly, you can just call an early retirement. But no i will still work. That extra money per month i can think how to use it, buy something i want, for the family, pick up some self learning improvement course and so on. dividing 1,000,000 by 833 means a similar amount to use for 100years but i won't just spend it all. keep the principal amount for the rain.

1,000,000 is really not much to me.

hmm i disagree
1 million is a big money depends how you play it.

its really enough for the change you need :)

seriously even times like this one can spin if you have a million...

Cheers

pay off all debts that I have, then chuck the rest into my high interest account/s in Australia, and hopefully have the discipline to NOT TOUCH IT.
