probably A2 without any interpolation (provided you image quality is good at the beginning).

For large printouts, I'm not too overly concern with how sharp the picture is

Like an advertisement poster that I usually print (e.g.10ft by 3 ft), nobody will stand at a distance of 30cm away to see. You'll need to stand at a distance in order to see the whole poster. Therefore, as long as it is able to convey the message I want, I have achieved my purpose.

Even for those MEGA big poster hung from a building, you think they have a 100MP camera to take the photo? Its usually taken with a 10MP camera and blown to proportion. You viewing distance is easily 500m to 1km away.
