Have been amused by the frequent ads about such activities
convincing readers that one could make some profit
consistently everyday to achieve financial freedom.

Are you convinced that one would quit a well paid job
to go into forex trading? Could anyone explain what is
forex trading?

Every job is not easy, and someone will make it and lose it in every industry...believe me, it is possible to earn gd money in forex, but be prepared to put in alot of time and hard work...no free lunch in the world man...cheers!!!:sweat:

You can make money, and you can lose money. It's not just about the technical analysis tools they teach, but you got to know about money management and trader psychology too.

The language used in the advertisements is pretty liberal. No real trader will claim 100%+ returns in a short period. MAS should really clamp down on such claims.

Currency trading is pretty much a zero sum game. If you win some, someone else lose some.

Those ads only show testimonials on those who made large profits in short period of time.
I would rather see the statistics.
What is the average profit, what is the median profit?
Profit declared should be clean profile, ie minus cost (interest paid for margin, account maintenance fee etc, software bought) & commission.

Even a well known businessman who is a savvy investor has lost $1b in forex.... Goes to show that you should keep your day job....

It's about trading/investing in the shares market.
Have to study 1st before getting involved.
