What camera???

i know that there are probably thousands of the same posts, but i am still going to ask.
i am looking for a camera, for personal use, preferably around the $500 -$800 mark (flexible), about 4 megapixels, max optical zoom (have been looking at 10 so far).

so far have been looking at the fuji finepix s5000 and kodak dx6490.
any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you considered Olympus? Take a look.

by the way... reviews on that kodak dx6490 is not good... it says the viewfinder is hard to reach and stuff like that... i read it on an old copy of digital photography user magazine...
