There are so many brands and types of AA batteries, which one do you prefer/are using currently in terms of capacity and discharging rates?
For flash, i prefer batteries that are 1.5v for the extra kick. There are so many brands and types of AA batteries, which one do you prefer/are using currently in terms of capacity and discharging rates?
Yes, I do mean 2100mAh. Thanks for the correction.I believe you meant 2100
to make things very simple...1.5v is more powerful then 1.2v and the voltage will be written on the battery. capacity is termed as mAh.Reportage, what 1.5v?? how do you tell it's 1.5v? I'd love batteries that have a slow discharge rate but i need high capacity as well. are there any such batteries out there yet?
depends on quality of charger.I always recharge my batteries to maximum but the interval in between each shoots could range from days to weeks. would it damaged my batteries if i just use 20% - 50% each time i shoot but recharge it to 100% before each time i use it?
Quite possible. But also possible that the charger is just unable to determine the status of the batteries and refuses to charge. Get a better charger for individual charging of each battery, combined with recondition and soft charging features. My recommendation: Maha MH-C800S. Got if from MS Color with 2 packs of 4xAA Imedion rechargeable batteries. My GP batteries seems to discharge fast and both energizer and sanyo batt seems to be unrechargeable no matter how many times i charge them with my GP charger. Are they spoilt?
By the way, I've seen other photogs using some black label batteries which i have never heard of those brands before, are they good?

If you know your flash well, can guess how many more times can fire before the batteries totally drained. another option is to have several sets of rechargeables on standby.
Some devices have a power indicator so can more or less show how much power remaining.
Basically you will see two colors - black and white. White Eneloop from Sanyo and black Imedion from Maha's PowerEX.By the way, I've seen other photogs using some black label batteries which i have never heard of those brands before, are they good?
