What apps is the best for photo editing?

Hello guys! I'm a newbie in photography. So I wonder what apps do you use?
I found a list here https://appuals.com/photo-editors-for-windows-mac/ but I'm not at the point where I can drop a lot of money into software but would like to have something that I can use to edit some of my photos.

You can start with the software hat came with your camera. Usually that a decent starting point to get familiar with the topic.
