Outing Venue: Pulau Ubin (...we'll do alotz of walking...)
Date: 04/04/2009 (Saturday)
Time/Location: Gather at CV Market #01-54, SRI SUJANA Nasi Lemak Stall and leaving at 9am SHARP for The Boat Ride To P/U
Note: Bumboat service 6.00 am - 11.00 pm; will only leave when there are 12 passengers.
IMPORTANT Note: 1st timer joining us, pls pm/email us; indicating ur name, nick, phone and email so that we can establish contact. The trip is meant to enjoy and get know to each other.

Contact/Organiser: patxinhu / jackienum (We'll only publicise our H/P number thru PM. As of present, pls register online.)

Preparations
- Wear light, breathable clothing.
- Wear appropriate footwear that will support and protect your feet.
- Wear a hat since much of the walk will be in the open.
- Bring enough drinking water to last the walk. Also bring easy-to-digest snack to energise.
- Bring insect repellent, mosquitoe coil, etc

Once reached PU, will do enquiry at the booth. The staff there wld be able to advice us accordingly. Good for macro if able to walk down Chek jawa.

For Chek Jawa intertidal walks is usually conducted by volunteers from Pulau Ubin NParks. Will need to pre-register. Walk dates are usually publicised on a quarterly basis and posted on the NParks website. To book, call the Pulau Ubin Hotline (Tel: 6542-4108) or visit the Ubin Information Kiosk between 8.30 am and 5pm.

note that chek jawa intertidal walks need pre booking and it is normally fully booked the moment it is release. I have been there twice. plenty of stuffs to take but need a steady hand...

Otherwise can do macro at the mangroves too... And for bird lovers the mangroves should be interesting too.

Don't want to disupt this thread, but FYI

I went to Ubin yesterday to shoot some butterflies.

my friends and I went to Pasir Ris and took bus No. 89 - and it was a pretty fast / near ride to CV
Just thought those meeting directly at CV might want to know this alternative
