Weird bands in film

Hi all, I am noticing some weird bands in my film. I am debating whether it's the lab's fault (I use fotohub to develop since I don't have time to develop more than 2 rolls a week), or is it reflections in the filter or flare. Here's an example:

Any reasons for the bands?

you mean the lighter area on the right side ? If you rule out any any camera defects of light reflection, I would say, it comes form uneven flow of developer during the processing.

Strange it happened to one of my 120 with them some time ago.

It is just improper loading of film, causing one section touching the emulsion and like what Achim Reh said, poor development.

They really need to improve their work quality.

This is the main reason why I do my own processing now. Its more fun anyway.

It also happened to a roll of my 120. With fotohub as well.

Figured as much. But I dunno. I feel it's too much a chore sometimes. Preparing certain developers demand a degree of storage space which doesn't exist at home.

Is the band visible on the unexposed margin of the film ? If yes, then it's probably a development problem.

Does anyone know how Fotohub develops b/w ? Is it a batch process similar to the home processes or more continuous, like the automated C-41 machines ?

Supposedly, it is done through machine.

Due to laziness, I sent a 135 B&W roll to lab to develop. (I am lazy to develop 135 and 120 roll oftenly due to troublesome:p) Very disappointed with the quality when I came back.
