This lens never ceases to amaze me! Good old
Nikon Lens Series E 75-150mm f/3.5! Zoom ring is loose, but each time I spend a few min putting two layers of scotch tape at the back along the lens barrel solves it (I remove the tape when done so that it will not leave any mark on the lens barrel).
Chingay 20 February 2016. Nikon Df, Nikon Lens Series E 75-150mm f/3.5, focal length unrecorded (likely 120-150mm), ISO 4500, 1/125 f/5.6
Light PP in LR. Shines even in poor lighting!
I think I may be getting over the sentimental feeling about old Nikkors. This one was done with my old
135mm f/3.5 Nikkor-Q; while it is nice, I found the contrast and colour to fall significantly behind "modern" lenses. My feel right now is that those old non-Ai lenses with "C", e.g. 105mm f/2.5 Nikkor-P.C., Ai and AiS to be good. Have not had the chance to do a critical comparison with Nano Coated lenses.
Tokushima, Japan, 11 February 2016. Nikon Df, 135mm f/3.5 Nikkor-Q, ISO 100, 1/1000 f/3.5
This lens I really like -
80-200mm f/4.5 Ai last version (square rear cutout). I did not compare this against the newer 80-200mm f/4 AiS directly, but subjectively I feel that the older 80-200/4.5 Ai last version is sharper than the 80-200/4 AiS. And yes I have these 2 lenses, along with 2 copies (black and chrome ring versions) of the 75-150E, and 100-300mm f/5.6 AiS! O this loose zoom ring cannot be solved with scotch tape.
Fukuoka, Japan, 14 February 2016 (yes, Valentine's Day and I was out on a business trip!). Nikon Df, 80-200mm f/4.5 Ai (last version), 200mm, ISO 100, 1/200 f/4.5
