Ouch. Jialat man. Thanks for the warning. Glad I don't own it, hope other owners can take note of this!

Found some other mentions of this same failure from 2 years back.

This time It was my D3 + 70-200mm mounted on it and again LUCKILY I had it in my hand before the ballhead slipped completely out. Had I not had it I would have lost my gear to the gorilla exhibit at the zoo.

Say what you like I still prefer the original camera strap to the body though it's
quite cumbersome and gets in the way but safety is paramount over conveinience.
 

Their new series (Prime) with the new quick-release socket is pretty sturdy. No way the ball can physically slip out unless there's some *major* damage or wear and tear.
