I found a Nikon F50 with this macro lens atrached, how to check macro lens?

I want to used it with my D90 body.

1:5.3 is way to low a magnification to be a macro lens. If the lens is still working fine, I don't see why you can't use it on your D90

Yeah, i found it weird but vitacon claims it as it is. lol

anyway thanks guys! i rather put this on aside and return it back to my grandfather dry box.

If you try to photograph something like a 10c coin, and you aren't able to get it in focus whilst occupying more than 2/3 of the image, I wouldn't consider that to be macro

I have a 24mm sigma which claims to be macro with 1:4 and i thought that was bad.
