Visit to Har Par Villa after 35 years ....

Finally went over to Har Par Villa after more than 35 years. Unlike the 60s & 70s no more crowds but plenty of mosquitoes around. Lots of memories, pretty well kept & remind me of the times when my parents used to bring me there during special festive holidays i.e. Chinese New Year when i was still a boy.

For those who are interested to visit, car parking is $5 per entry or just take the MRT ( station just beside the entrance) or take a bus.

Looking at your photos does bring back memories of another time far far away. Then the place in front was the sea shore with a Malay kampong at water's edge. Weekends were crowded and the ice cream man a favourite due to the heat. It was free entrance then also. Eventually Father Time will come and take the whole park "to the west".
