I often hear the complaint that Singapore has no scenery, and therefore you cannot take landscape pictures. This is not true at all. We have our own landscapes, and should open our eyes. Barren and dehumanising they may be, but they are landscapes nonetheless, and contain their own (sometimes surprising) beauty.

These were taken on a short walkabout today with my trusty Nikon 990.

i like 2, 4, 13, and the last one.

hehe u beat me to it. wanted to do a urban b/w photo essay on singapore. no time lah :p good stuff.

the aircon one looks like hongkong, i cant't rem, but i remember seeing a similar photograph of multiple aircons together.

i think the best is compositing it in such a way where it becomes a unique picture and not a "common one".

i think in singapore, if you'll give a "usual" composition, ie: the overtaken singapore skyline, in the same position, and composition, boy, i would be yawning myself to deeth. good stuff at trying to take the "different" singapore.

maybe this could be a challenge to the photographers here?
