back from IT show working. selling sony dslr, having a major headache right now. =\ it's kinda messy now already

:bsmilie: headache from seeing so many people or seeing models? :p

I went afternoon
lots of untrained part timers with near zero IT knowledge
they come to you at the stall and and ask "can I help you" in Mandarin.

When you actually ask ....
oh blank stares and ummm... they ask a few other part timers..
all don't know.....

so the umpteenth time they ask "wo ker yi pang ni mah?"
I just say "No you can't"
which is a fact

went to IT show today around 3 PM...less crowded than i expected...also got more space to walk around so it's a good thing.

Bought a new 500GB external HDD for only 129$....not bad

what time they close? I am thinking of going there to look for bag... btw what is good buy for bag?

Did not see much bags there.. only saw bagman's stall and some Tamrac bags in part of another store..

I think you will have a better selection of bags from the usual shops.. :)

Bought a portable 2.5" 120g at $60. I think it is the cheapest. They told me it is Hitachi but when i checked it at home, it is samsung. Drive working fine... no complaint

Optical mouse going for $5 at Prolink...ms micro at $18 for 1g... DDR is more expensive than DDR2...

If you wan to collect shopping bags... go to the Telco booth

Internal DVD Dr 20X RW is about $47 with free gifts

I remember going to a PC show in 1995 to buy a printer. Found a HP model I was considering which had a 1MB buffer and just to test the promoter, asked him "How much memory does this printer have?". He sarcastically replied "Sir, this is a printer.....".

Quite sad.

Most of the lady promoters are part time models. Most of them are just brief on the day itself.

As for the guys, I guess either they are new to the field or just basically an IT Ah Beng in the making......still plenty a lot in Sim Lim Square.:bsmilie:

If you do your homework well, just go there get the product that you want. It's just TOO overly crowded nowadays. Unless you saw something new, then the best is to find someone who knows the product itself.

I always look for the managers and will tell them straight in the face that their promoters knowledge is ZERO.
