Trevor: I'm not sure how to check what version of flash player you have but Flash Player 6 just came out so i you don't remember d/l it at macromedia, you most probably have 5 then.
When you hit refresh, you are refreshing the whole .swf file... that's why you start all over again :/

7) Yes there should be a non flash version available as it's good authoring practice and it should conform to WSC standards.

8) Elegant everytime.

a) Cross browser complient
b) Able to be accessed by version 3 browsers.

1) Flash sites are cool but they took a bit of bandwidth and resources. People with slow connection or slower computer will have a bit of difficulty. So, I guess intro with flash is okay but not the contents.
2) ADSL
3) 1024 * 768
4) Flash Player 6
5) b) <40secs
6) Any. As long as it suits the flash well enough.
7) Yes, that would be ideal
8) Sweet and Simple
