Any advice for photography in Tibet? What to look out for and what to bring? OK to shoot the locals or what not to shoot?

I was told you should not shoot the interior of a temple for respect. But it is the architecture that are unique that I would like to capture.

Potala Palace in Lhasa is something you will have to visit

It is suppose to be blue but somehow I can't get true blue. Kambala lake is 4,100 m above sea level. Totally blue for both sky and lake. On your right hand corner, the snow cap mountain is Mt Everest.
