How about in term of image quality when both shoot at jpeg at iso1600 (this is the setting I use most for night photography)? Most of the reviews are shot at raw which is not relevant to me,
Frankly, I've used both. I still prefer d7k in overall performance. As d300s has limited low light capabilities... But again, build quality for d300s is far more better.
I still recommend d7k. Reasons being, lighter and more flexible in term of video and higher ISO capability. Though I have to agree tat d300 have a better feel and better Af. But for me I prefer to use 1point Af which is e centre, as its e fastest and accurate
