The type 601 looks set to be the right product for Leica to further expand its market share taking EVIL cameras to the next level. As a profit making company, it is also the right move to make us part with more money for new AF lenses on top of the already superb M lenses many of us own. I certainly hope that as the SL series lenses expand, Leica will remember to keep the design of those to be made available new lenses compact as the first 24 to 90mm surely is a monster in size. Many of us decide to avoid the main stream DSLR for the reason of avoiding the bulk. personally, my choice is to go for the 90 to 280mm SL lens on the type 601 as I feel that this focal length offers to capture images often in fast moving actions such as sports events which the M240 is tough to cope. Many of the M wide angle lenses such as the summilux 21mm and even the Noctilux should fit well with the type 601 in MF mode now that a brilliant EVF is available on the 2015 SL.
