I'm going to be brutally honest here. And I hope you won't be offended.

But there is nothing tantalising about soft looking chunks of meat esp. when they are meant to be eaten raw.

Sashimi is meant to be firm when it's fresh. :)
 

Hi zac08, thanks for your honesty and I actually agree with you:) It was a buffet meal served a-la-carte.....maybe it was left on the kitchen a tad longer.
 

Now, the second pic does look much more appetising... :)
