Tamron lens with fungus.

Hi guys need some help!

The sudden climate change has resulted in many of my lenses developing fungus at different levels. I posses a Tamron 18-200mm lens for Sony a mount which has just started to develop fungus. My question is should I take the pain to service it or should just invest in a new one? Any reasoning for the same would be more than welcome!

Do u keep your lenses in a dry cabinet?

funny, i did keep my gear in dry cabinet but 1 of them also was hit by fungus.

Is a tamron 18200 even worth repairing? Maybe can look around for a good 2nd hand?

Why not call the agent up for a quote? Maybe its about $150?
