Tamron 28-75 mm lens not sharp

Consulting all tamron and Sony experts out there. I recently bought a tamron sp af aspherical xr di ld 28-75mm macro lens then mounted it on a Sony a7 camera using a commlite manual adaptor. Went outdoors to shoot and upon uploading onto the computer I saw that the image is really soft. I took about 100 pictures and all of them turned out this way. Can I ask if the lens is meant to perform this way or is there some fault with my configuration ?

The lens is meant for Nikon. F mount to be exact.

i have the tamron 28-75 f2.8 and it is also not sharp.
i rmbr last time i have to do a micro adjust until +11 to get small details in focus.
not sure about your copy but perhaps you can do the same.
