Hey guys,

Anyone here in CS modellers too? I'm coming back to S'pore for good and I'd like to know where is a good place to buy Tamiya Airbrushes to replace my broken Gunze Sangyo one. Any places that stock up on 1:35 Military models and 1:24 Racing Cars in S'pore besides in the shopping centres?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Cheers,
Nick

If I'm not wrong, Tamiya distributors in Sg is:

Tai Sing Corpn (Pte) Ltd
732 North Bridge Rd
Tel : 6291 1183
Toys-Whsle

Tamiya's Website

- Specialist Centre along Orchard Road, 3rd floor behind John Little, a little shop called The Orchard Store.

- Centre Point, 3rd floor (i think), enter the alley towards Royal Sporting House. (i think TV mobile or Osim is the first shop of the alley way.)

- Far East mall, directly above KFC or BK. you can see the shop from street level, it's on the 1st floor.

- Katong Shopping Centre (good for the really old stuff) 2nd or 3rd floor, i forget. as you enter the building from the front, take the escalator up on the left wing. once you alight keep heading left.

- I think there's one in Suntec City as well. if you know where those "ball prize" machines are, there's a model shop close by.

these are the shops i know of. hope it helps.

also:
- one shop at Sunshine Plaza in Prinsep Link, ground floor, they sell models and tools, airbrush, I always see busy people inside the shop working on models.
- three shops at North Bridge Road 150, two in the basement and one at the ground floor, they sell models and remote control equipment

Alright, there are quite a number of shops... Thanks for the heads-up guys!

Btw, are models and equipment expensive in S'pore? because its pretty expensive here in Bangkok... Sighz....

how about art friend at Bras Basha Complex ?

hey, why don't you get 'serious' airbrush ?
Not that Tamiya or Gunze is 'toy' , but I prefer to use Badger airbrush (the same reason why some people want high-end camera ;) ), and use 1/4 or 1/5 PK (horse power) refrigerator compressor.
Not very practical I admit, but it gives you POWER !!! *evil laugh*
Also good for cleaning camera and lens too .. (as long as you remember to remove the paint and thinner first..)

Fwah... I dun really need so much power leh... Haha... lol... I have tried the Badgers before but I don't know why I don't seem to like them that much... *Shrugs* The ones that I really like are the Tamiya and Gunze ones, actually the OEM is Iwata (I can't spell their name). Besides I only need about 30 psi on my compressor to paint my models, not blow them away... hehe... :bsmilie:
