Have the following setup at hand:

Canon 350D with grip, Speedlite 430EX, Canon EF-S 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 lens, Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6

Wat is the recommended settings for my camera when taking photos at a concert for example at an auditorium? Additional stuff required?

You mean in a normal auditorium? Think you can set you setting aperture ranging from f5.6 to f8. Iso maybe 400 to 800. Flash is almost a must for critical people shots. If you prefer ambient light, then you have to up ur iso to 800 to 1600 and open up ur aperture all the way. Shutter range from 1/30 to 1/60 to capture ambient light. Ocassionally you can try 1/8 or slower for slow sync effect. Just my 2 cents. :)
