Sx30is

good for daytime paparazzi shooters...

using NB-7L instead of AA battery is a disappointment....

That's one of the first item I check out on the specs. AAs are definitely more convenient.
The other attribute will be the zooming. A manual barrel like the HS10 would have been good.

It doesnt shoot RAW!

If SX series do RAW G series sales will suffer already..
this time 35x optical + 4x digital really wont like to see how a 3000mm+ view output will look like

It's a super zoom. The IQ will suffer vs the G-series

I'm more curious about the quality of a moon shot it would turn out at 840mm.

Looks like a nice light weight and cost effective bird watching camera.

Wait for the comparison with panasonic fz100 or fz45.

When is it selling Singapore?

And also the price?

Currently, the SX 20 IS is selling at $699 (SRP).

hope it comes out well...hope to replace my S5 with it (sad part is have to grab a few more batt for it). But for 35x, it sure can see the world my DSLR cannot reach....

There are some videos about this product, PowerShot Sx30 IS..

The interesting thing about this camera is a combination of two built-in features in this camera, miniature effects and pre-recording playback speed for video recording:

Yah very interested in this also, at 840mm can do birding easily. Was thinking to get the panasonic FZ100, but the price of $799 is too ex.
