The IS gonna have to work overtime if handheld.

would have been a clincher if highest aperture was F/1.8 and iso was 12800.

That's one of the first item I check out on the specs. AAs are definitely more convenient.
The other attribute will be the zooming. A manual barrel like the HS10 would have been good.

It's a super zoom. The IQ will suffer vs the G-series

Yah very interested in this also, at 840mm can do birding easily. Was thinking to get the panasonic FZ100, but the price of $799 is too ex. :think:
