in BKK, you see policeman marshal at road junction without fail.


i really dunno where our Traffic Police with their clean & super-duper motorbike are??? during peak hour!!

canteen? toilet? cubicle?
 

Well the other alternative is to find a job that starts at 700 in the morn and end 14 hours later .... no jam no squeeze (well a little)

Yup. security guard. my company guard uses weekend car for that reason.
 

jam at CTE is usual, just like dog has 4 legs. what is there worth to be specially reported ?

Haha yeah so true. Announcement to be made on national radio if it's all clear will be more logical
 

It may be reported if there is a VVIP or foreign dignitary who has been caught in the jam. Although jam for ordinary people is a common occurrence, it is not normal for VVIP or foreign dignitary to suffer this and they will be furious.

VVIP will be escorted. but they won't be so stupid as to travel during times when the vehicle will be stationary for long periods i.e. in a traffic jam

their routes are always planned out and they'll always prepare in advanced to block off key roads.

and this is a custom all around the world, not just limited to singapore.

When someone said 'outsourced' all the government and linked companies jumped into this with their eyes blind folded. I guess the mentality is, if you follow order sure won't die one.

Unfortunately, SMRT suffers from security to maintenance issues. Cheap and good? Good where got cheap one!
