Hi all. After so many years of teaching, finally i'm now able to make a trip overseas not limited to the usual june/december holidays periods.

I'd like to have some suggestions as to where i can go. Some place that can see the great outdoor in autumn but not too crowded and not too expensive.

thanks for any suggestions!

I'm not too sure what your definition of expensive is, but I'd recommend Scotland, especially the Highlands. Can get pretty cold though.

China would be nice, after Oct first week holiday session then most places will be quiet down and not crowded, and not too expensive if u can avoid buying things, currently the more popular places are:
Sichuan - Jiuzhaigou, Mount Emei
Yunnan - Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Shangri-la, Dali, Lijiang, etc
Hunan - ZhangJiajie, Feng Huang old city

Hi,
I went to China Jiu Zhai gou in Autumn (one week after mid autumn festival). The colours are simply beautiful! And it's not too expensive. However autumn is peak season for Jiu Zhai Gou, so just be prepared. ;p
