Streets and Moments : Capturing the Resonance.

It gives me the feel that she is paying homage to a device that most people cannot do without for a day, including me. :)

Haha. You are absolutely right. That's a very interesting and real perspective. The influence the mobile tech and how it pervades our lives.

I managed to spot a 2-storey movable ladder. Climbed atop and had a nice change in perspective - until the owner asked me to get off.

#78 - Morning Routine
(Little India Photoshoot with CS Members on 6th Oct - Restricted to 50mm focal length)

This gentleman had obviously just woken up and decided to read the papers before doing anything else while the pigeons were breaking their fast. Everyone has his morning routines...

#79 - Red, White and You
(Little India Photoshoot with CS Members on 6th Oct - Restricted to 50mm focal length)

When I saw the tiled veritcal Red and White stripes, I knew it'd be a great backdrop. Problem was, given the focal length, I pretty much had to stand on the road to get a good close-up. I hung on to the kerb as much as I could, pre-focussed, and waited for the right subject.

#80 - Alley

I liked the way the two walls were converging. And given the availability of the subjects, I managed to snap one in time!

#81 - In her own thoughts
(Little India Photoshoot with CS Members on 6th Oct - Restricted to 50mm focal length)

While the adults shopped and bargained at the Deepavali stalls, this little girl was more than happy to keep herself occupied with a single peacock feather.

#82 - Lonely

This man really looked very lonely and quite lost. There was just an aura of resignation about him. I couldn't capture what I exactly felt at that moment. Wish I could have, though.

#83- Where am I?
(Little India Photoshoot with CS Members on 6th Oct - Restricted to 50mm focal length)

Given that I was participating in a 50mm challenge, I wanted to make sure I had a shot where I was absolutely up close to a subject. And the opportunity came at this road junction. Snapped this at less than 1m away from the subject.

#84 - Parrot vs Paper
(Little India Photoshoot with CS Members on 6th Oct - Restricted to 50mm focal length)

Given that the caged parrot was right next to him, I figured that he was a fortune teller. Wouldn't it be a hoot if he were actually reading the horoscopes in the paper? We will never know, will we?

#85 - Where is the bus?
(Little India Photoshoot with CS Members on 6th Oct - Restricted to 50mm focal length)

Practically the last shot of the day and one that I really like. Saw this lady just when I was crossing over to return to the rest of the group. She was positioned perfectly. It was literally, run and gun from the hip. Glad it came out alright.

The solar powered iphone shot is beautifully compelling. I think you could enter it into a street photo competition if there were to be any.

The striped background vs checked/striped shirt uncle is also very nice. Simple colors, simple form, so just the patterns talking. Very well composed in terms of elements of art.

Wonderful to see you shooting again, Norman

Thanks Shizuma! Glad the photos struck a chord with ya! And yeah. It feels good to be able to go out and shoot the street. Going with some like-minded ppl makes it more fun!

And given that the busy part of the year is almost over, I am gonna be hitting the streets a lot more!

Good composition you have there. Especially when the lady is looking straight into the camera, it is striking. And i would never dare snap a photo of someone staring back at me! Nice shot there!

Thanks. Auden09. It's one of my favs too. Pretty much an opportunistic shot. Just glad it worked out alright.

Cheers.

Yeah. Thanks man. I could see his desolation. The kind that creeps into your facial expression when you are lost in thought. I tried to capture it and process it as closely to my interpretation as I could.

Glad it worked for you mate. Would love to see how you'd present it in your classic BnW style, man. I'm sure it'd be killer.

Hey Richard. Glad to share and glad you like then. It's unfortunate that you feel you didn't get nice shots. Keep trying man. Btw, I'm going for a photo walk tomorrow. Feel free to tag along.

Cheers.
