u got ps the sky or out of box like that ?

any special thing u do to get such superb color ?

care to share. tks :D

Actually... its out of the box like that :)
Slight touchup... no major colour play like my other project. Its the magic of my outdoor strobes that created this...

right ... its the use of portable studio flashes that runs on batteries.
so you can create that studio look outdoors, giving you great control over your lightings.... and creativity as well.

 gd series ...

I find Pix #6 dun really blend in with the rest, having almost the standard size of most the subject having abt the same pose. Anyway, maybe some pics taken with their gears or of them in action?

Actually the final result intended for this shoot was the first picture... but i thought the individual portraits were quite nice too.
Didn't take much... even got a bad sunburn after the shoot.

were portable studio strobes actually necessary for this shoot?
If like you mentioned you had a bad sunburn perhaps a ton of oversized reflectors and a few off camera flashes would have done the trick. Maybe attached to an umbrella...

Would x 2 250 w lights suffice for somthing like this?

If you need 2x 250W lights, why not just use 1x 600W light? ;p
Anyway, in my opinion, in this kind of weather condition (a cloudless day), you need a strobe powerful enough to balance the sunlight.

I might be wrong, anyone would like to add in their opinion? Any comments?

cos i saw 2 shadows, thought might have been from 2 strobes.

i suppose one of my 500ws will suffice. but i dont want to get sunburnt
lol!

Ok another pop quiz...
Can anyone guess why there are 2 shadows?

:bsmilie: Of course... the sun is so strong... it will create another shadow..
its like another studio light.

I like it. Great shots.

Actually portable strobes are really useful for creating high contrast shots like these. External flashes are good for these shots too, but in really bright daylight, flashes dun have the power to cover the whole field of view well.

Would like to try one of these some day too... to get really saturated skies...
