A very very interesting Jumping Spider....very colourful too...and have not seen it before. On a ginger flower is it? and whats the setup?

The DOF is very shallow, and composition wise, it may be better to get a face-on shot for the JS and ant. Good nice and smooth background though. Nevertheless, glad you took the side shot to show its colours....very unique!

Glad tt you like the spider. :)
I'm using 300D and Sigma 150mm macro lens for the shot.
Due to not bring along tripod, I set to TV 1/60s and ISO 400 for the shot and various F value. HH and lean to the pole beside without flash.

#1: F2.8
#2: F3.5
#3: F4.0
#4: F3.5

You may want to try Av, with higher Apeture for greater DOF, and use the flash to make up for lost of light. But its a fine balance as too fast a shutter, your BG will become very black.

Thanks for your comment! I'll try it out in the next shooting.
